Good News!!! Hurrah!...



So last Thursday I decided the past few weeks was long enough trying to get the direct ldap talking solution working, and came up with another way to do things.



On friday I started work on a .NET application to reset the passwords via a web service (and unlock accounts at the same time since we know they are already logged in as a valid oracle identified user in mypassword.)



Yesterday I finished the first part of the web application! So after 3 days I have an application that sets the passwords successfully via a web site, and now there are four steps left to lift off:

1. I need to convert this to a web service (should take 1 to 2 days)

2. Cy is building the server (virtual machine) that the password changing web service will run on - this will be IP limited to only allow the mypassword app to call it. Once it is built we need to publish the website.

3. Modify the mypassword code to call the web service for setting passwords (couple of hours work)

4. Make the changes live on the mypassword application servers (currently is running through a test/development separate setup).

Wireless Sync

Before contacting ITS:
Check that the student has not changed the password recently.
Check that they are getting the log in page
Check that the student has the correct Student Portal password.
Contact ITS on 4357 opt 2 to sync the student wireless password
